EXTREME WEATHER AND FLOODING ALERT!
Houston... we have a problem. Due to torrential downpours a number of trails are closed off immediately. Please respect all trail closures. The Kokanee bridge over Terrace Creek is still standing but the Creek is raging! This section of 4, 5 and 503 are closed till further notice.

Here is your weekend trail update.
Trail 2058 is cleaned up all the way to 205. And 205 to that same junction. 205 has about 100 meters of new trail just above the roller coaster section.
Still too much snow on 205 to be able to get to the 5 junction. All of 206 and 2061 is open. Please be careful of new swails to control water flow and some ditching on 206.
On the Aspen side all trails are open to the north to TR36.
Please be careful with deep standing water holes with all this runoff. Most bottoms are hard so no need to pin the throttle.
TREAD LIGHTLY!!!

This just screams ride me!
Good news TR42 (all the way to Esperon rd) and 442 are open and freshly groomed.
442 still has some snow on it so Watch out for some slick spots . Enjoy.

Early Season Trail Update
Please use **extreme caution** while riding as early season conditions exist. Watch for snow patches, standing water, mud bogs and downed trees. Always ride with a partner and let someone know where you are heading. Report any trail problems that you encounter to the site host.
* Please avoid TR1 from the 14 jct (Blue Grouse Rd to view point) to TR23. This section of trail has been closed temporarily due to seasonal water and to allow a mud hole that has appeared to dry up and be repaired properly. TR1 is open to 14 so you can access the peak and TR23 down to the 1 jct remains open.
* The Burke Trail Head is open.
* TR4 has about a 1.5 km new section added and the junction for TR42 has been moved slightly. Please be careful as there are stumps close to the edge of the trail from logging. This trail is quite soft as it needs to be ridden in.
* TR42 is open and freshly groomed but hits snow at the top of Bald Range.
* TR2061 is open and lower section of 2058 is now open.
* Kokanee Country is still snow bound
* Upper elevations and north facing hills still snowbound
Each week of warm weather is opening up new sections of trail. Come and join us for the Annual Alf Klassen Family Fun Run. This years event will be run out of the Hub at the Aspen Trail Head Parking lot Sunday May 28th, More details to follow.

August 25, 2016 - Ok, everything is open again, but we had a big windstorm in the valley a couple of days ago, so watch out for fallen or damaged trees. Our crew is up clearing trails starting with the slopes that got hit the hardest and nearest to the staging areas.

August 23, 2016 - Bear Creek OHV is not out of the woods yet.  According to Castanet news the Bear Creek fire is approximately 60% contained.  The Bear Creek OHV area is technically open.  However;  parts of Westside Rd and Bear Creek Rd are shut down by fire crews. Making for no road access via the Westside to the OHV area.  It's been a great summer season let's keep it that way.  Spark arrestors are mandatory at the Bear Creek OHV area for a very good reason ;-)

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

May 7, 2015 - Tolko is starting a new timber harvesting program in the Bear Creek area. This effects some of our trails.

  • Trail 1 will be closed from the Trail 14 junction all the way to Tamarack Road or trail 1a.
  • Take extreme care at all road crossings over Tamarack Road.
  • Trails 1, 2, 23, 203, 12, and 1a all use part of the haul road that Tolko will be using with logging trucks
