Support BCORMA's Trails for Tomorrow Trail Pass Program |
|
BCORMA is working hard to keep your riding areas and trails open, staging areas built to park and offload, trails maintained & signed so you enjoy your sport, and having maps available so you know where to go.
Come out to a meeting at 6:30 pm on March 3, 2009 at the Capri Hotel in Kelowna, BC to discuss:
Issues around Trails
• Increasing environmental regulations
• Increasing impacts due to higher use and rider concentration on trail systems near the urban interface
• Demands from the riders for better facilities
• Need to maintain and use, or we will lose our trails to other industry and recreational interests Solutions around Trails
• We can’t expect Government to do it all
• Riders need to show they are doing their share
All this takes money and support from riders, industry, and the Government. BCORMA and the clubs need you to show your support by buying a BCORMA Trail Pass. Its only $30/yr, and goes towards the 1000s of kilometers of trails we help maintain.
What is the BCORMA Trail Pass for?
We have a $100 million of recreational infrastructure to maintain, with over 2,000 km of off-road motorcycle trails. All this takes upwards of a $1,000,000 a year to build & maintain. We are asking each rider to invest $30/yr into the trails.
The BCORMA Trail Pass funds go towards:
• Installing trail signs & maps so riders know where to ride and what skills are required
• Building staging areas
• Building new novice and small-wheel trail systems for family and kids to have legal & safe places to ride
Where is the money going?
• $20 goes directly into a fund for trail building & maintenance.
• $10 supports BCORMA to provide Ride BC, our on-line guide for riding areas & trails in BC, source additional trail funds, and fight for land access and our right to ride.
How do I buy one?
From your local BCORMA off-road motorcycle club, at a participating dealer, or directly from BCORMA at http://bcorma.ca.
• $30 for adults, under 18 free |
