The sport and recreational pursuit of Off-Road Motorized Recreation is a legitimate part of the social and economic fabric of every community in British Columbia and continues to grow rapidly. British Columbia is one of the last provinces to embrace legislation and facilities to enhance this form of recreation while at the same time mitigate impacts on the environment and the community at large. The good news is the British Columbia government has had an opportunity to review and study other management and facility models throughout North America and are poised to put the best of these into practice.

This workshop will be an opportunity for decision makers, volunteers, and all those involved and or impacted throughout British Columbia to hear from one of the foremost planning and trail building consultants in the United States. The content will be solution oriented strategies to planning for a sustainable future of Motorized Off-Road Recreation with emphasis on resource protection. A draft agenda is attached. The workshop will be followed up with a field trip on Saturday July 14th 2007 to the Bear Creek Recreation Management Zone for those workshop participants who wish to attend. Please RSVP to the address below at your earliest convenience so we can estimate numbers and book the appropriate venue.
